Wake up in the morning, head to Chinatown. Why?...
<== So we can get dim sum! However, we went to a place that only had take out dim sum, so we ate at the steps of the Chinese United Methodist Church... still, it was super delicious! Some of the best shumai I've ever had!..
Up next, Lombard St!
<== Definitely cooler looking at it from below than driving it... IMHO...
Went to Alamo Square afterwards... did not see the Olsen Twins... however, I did get a ticket for not turning the wheels, even though I'm not even parked on a steep slope... lame! =>
And, continuing our mission of mowing down SF tourist locales, we went to Pier 39 at Fisherman's wharf. Sadly, there were only 3 seals there that day... if only there were more :(
Checkin' out how they make sourdough at Boudin Bakery...
<== And then to Haight and Ashbury... where the Summer of Love happened! Sadly, the place is super commercialized now... the hippies look like trustafarians and no one seems all that friendly...
At the Alembic bar for a drink in upper Haight... apparently one of the best bars in America? They certainly crafted a delicious cocktail... Joe's had some gold leaf in it! ==>
<== Waiting for our table for dinner, so we went to Pi Bar where we had a beer. Here Joe is with his Pliny the Elder, apparently the 8th best beer in the world...
And at last, dinner time at Mr. Pollo...this was one of the best meals I've ever had... the restaurant is basically this guy's kitchen, it's the cooking area and about 10 seats... we got there as the place opened and still had to wait an hour and a half... we all ordered the 15$, 4 course tasting menu. Small portions of very fancy Venezuelan inspired food, and byob! It was spectacularly delicious, and I highly recommend anyone that goes to SF and likes food to try this place... ==>
<== And we got a picture with the chef after dinner! He prepared and cooked everything as we waited... this guy is a boss in the kitchen...
And we ended the evening hanging out at Seekely's with some NBA Jam... ok a LOT of NBA Jam... I am surprisingly good at that game.... ==>
<== And sadly... yet another one departs... Joe, who was with us from the beginning has to leave... the road trip will definitely not be the same...
