<== In the morning, it's time to go... Big thanks to Ryan and Carie(sorry if I mispelled that!) for putting us up!! The northeast is your oyster if you guys ever need a place to stay :)
And Brendan is here... so off we go! ==>
<== Our first destination is Big Sur... it's an amazing coastal drive, and I think one of the best parts of Pacific Coast Highway 1....
There's amazing beaches... ==>
<== And even more beautiful bridges...
The drive feels like one big car commercial... twists and turns on cliffs next to mountain and ocean.... blue skies and green grass... ==>
<== The scenic turnouts are indeed pretty scenic...
There are so many of these iconic bridges... ==>
<== Like Bixby Creek Bridge...
We have to head toward Yosimite eventually however, so we decide to take a smaller highway that cuts through the mountains. It's an incredibly windy, almost one lane, tiny highway that winds its way up the coastal mountains... as we go up we get a great view of the Big Sur Coastline... ==>
<== And eventually, we get our final glimpse of the Pacific Ocean... it's a bittersweet moment and marks the end of another part of our trip...
As we make our way through, we encounter Fort Hunter Liggett... the road is full of awesome photo opportunities... like this "Danger Dud & Impact Area"" sign, with a tank just hanging out! ==>
<== There's another tank we can actually play with...
Everyone gets some tank time... ==>
<== When we get back to civilization, we decide to get some food at King City, California... literally everyone in this city was Hispanic, and almost everything was in Spanish. We got some of the best tacos and sopas at this taco stand. Amazing! We drove through the night to get to Fresno, but night time driving != good pics.
